Financial Assistance

Family Assistance Program

The Baptist Community Center Mission provides limited financial assistance to eligible individuals and families living in Travis County and northern Hays County. Depending on available funding, assistance may be available for:

  • Rent

  • Utility bills

  • Prescription medications

  • Birth certificates

Applicants must provide a valid photo ID, Social Security card, and documentation related to the type of assistance requested.

Program Guidelines

Please review the following before applying:

  • Assistance is available once every 12 months per household.

  • We do not provide assistance with security deposits.

  • Rental assistance is limited to rent balances of $100 or less.

  • Utility assistance is limited to the final $50 of your outstanding bill.

  • Households may receive only one type of assistance during a 12-month period (for example, rent or utilities, but not both).

  • Appointments may take several days to schedule, so please apply before your bill becomes seriously overdue.

  • Payments are made directly to a commercial landlord or utility company—never to the applicant.

  • Assistance is provided as funding allows on a first-come, first-served basis. Meeting eligibility requirements does not guarantee assistance.
